3 inch Big Hammer™ Hand-Poured Swimbaits

The 3 inch Big Hammer™ swimbait is probably the most versatile of all the sizes of Big Hammer™ swimbaits.  Whether you are targeting smaller fish or trying to match small prey that larger fish are feeding on - from a small Bluegill to a large Tuna, this bait will catch them all.  An excellent bait for inshore saltwater fishing on both the East and West Coasts of the U.S.  In the West it is one of the most popular baits for inshore halibut, white seabass, and calico bass.  On the East it is proving itself quickly as one of the best soft plastic baits for speckled trout, weakfish, and redfish.  In freshwater it's applications are almost endless.  It is a great bass lure when rigged on a regular jig head or on the Buzz Hammer™ jig head.  It has also proven to be an extremely effective trout lure on many Southern California lakes.

Jig Heads: There are three sizes of Hammer Heads™ that were designed to fit the 3 inch Big Hammer™ swimbait.  The most common jig head used with the 3 inch Big Hammer™ swimbait is the Hammer Head™ 1/4 oz. with a 1/0 light wire hook.  The 3/16 oz. - 1/0 Hammer Head™ is the next best thing when a lighter head is desired while the 3/8 oz. 2/0 works great if a little more weight is needed.
